So, our time here in Serbia is winding down more quickly than I would like. Once we hit the two-week out mark, I started thinking of all of the things that I've been meaning to do here in Belgrade but haven't, and am now somewhat frantically endeavoring to check as many of them off the list as possible before the kids and I depart in ten short days.
One activity we'd had on our "to do" list was taking a short sightseeing cruise on the Danube. Belgrade is located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, and although other European cities located on the Danube certainly are more beautiful and striking, we felt like this was something we needed to do. And so, last Friday afternoon, we did. We enjoyed it a lot, despite the heat, and would recommend it to folks living in or visiting Belgrade (Sirona Cruises offers short sightseeing trips, dinner cruises, and even a few overnight cruises to Eastern Serbia).
