First Day of School - Round Two!

Whew! It's done. All of the children living in the Richardson household are officially back in school. Mikayla and Graham started at Chartwell today, and all things considered, it went really well for both of them. Mikayla seems to fit right in with the eclectic bunch of kids there, and I think that she is going to really enjoy her year there. It is a VERY different place from Julia Green Elementary in Nashville (actually, it's pretty dawgone different from any school -- public or private -- in Nashville, for that matter), so it may take a little getting used to, but it's going to be great. The picture above is of Mikayla and Dragan, the world's kindest man! He is the "jack of all trades" at the school and takes care of everything from mowing the lawn, to fixing things, to escorting the children into school in the morning. He is always standing out in front of the school with a huge smile in the mornings, greeting the children and walking them into the school grounds. Chartwell is a special place!

Graham has a new teacher this year, but most of the same kids from last year. His teacher's name is Miss Bojana (pronounced "boy-anna"), and she seems really great. She said that Graham had given her several hugs today and asked me if that meant that he likes her. I replied with a resounding "yes!" The picture above is of Graham's class -- the kids in Graham's class represent Austria, the U.S., Sweden, Finland and Thailand!. Pretty cool, eh?

In other news, Virginia lost one of her top front teeth today. It was very traumatic, but we all survived. She is distraught over her new appearance -- she's such a diva, you know. It looks like the other one is loose, as well, so I wonder what we're going to have to deal with when that one goes?!? Oh boy.

Hope all is well in other parts of the world. Missing everyone.
Love,
Erin
