It occurs to me that I haven't posted photos of our house, so here are a few. Suffice it to say that we LOVE our house and our neighborhood. We are within walking distance of downtown and the kids' schools, and in an old established Belgrade neighborhood. There are many embassies and ambassadors' residences near us, but the neighborhood also is full of Serb natives and expats from other countries. The house is very large (four floors) and has a perfect layout for the unique needs of our family. The main level has a large living room/dining room, a very nice kitchen, and a small office that is used as Graham's therapy room. The second level has four bedrooms (one of which is my office) and a bath, and the top floor is a large, finished attic with a very nice bath that is occupied by Graham's therapist, Jamie. The bottom level has a garage, three extra rooms, and a bathroom. The house is in the architectural style of a European villa, and I am guessing that it probably was built in the 1920s. We love houses of this era, and haven't lived in one since we moved out of our first house in Maplewood in 2000, so we're happy to be back in a house with high ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, incredible windows, mouldings, etc. Actually, this house is nicer than any house we've ever lived in, so thank you, Uncle Sam, for being so generous to those of us serving overseas!
A bit of news for our family -- our current therapist, Jamie, will leave us at the end of August, and will be replaced by Graham's long-time therapist and aide, Lori Dunn. Both Lori and her daughter, Mikayla, will live with us for the next school year. Mikayla and Virginia have been best friends since we moved to Nashville, and Lori is like Graham's second mother, so we really couldn't be happier!!
Hope all is well with everyone at home.

I've passed this house a thousand times! One of the most beautiful ones in Senjak. However, that little alley was always attractive for stray dogs, as well. I never knew what to do. Some of them were really nasty! Tell me, Erin, has the city done anything about that recently?
